KKMT Safety Protocols - Friday Night Rehearsals
To ensure the safety of all campers and their families, Kismet Kids Musical Theatre has established the following precautions. Please check back for any updates that could be implemented before the start of camp.
Violation of the safety policies may cause your child's removal from the program WITHOUT a refund.
- Indoor masks are optional for all KKMT staff and cast members during rehearsals.
- Children may be separated into cohort groups based on age for all activities.
- Children who are ill or who display any signs of illness will not be allowed at rehearsal.
- Any child who tests positive for Covid-19 will NOT be allowed to return until they test negatively.
- Kismet Kids is a safe environment and has a no-tolerance policy for any violence, bullying, or inappropriate behavior.
- All children must be checked in and out of rehearsal by an authorized adult.
- Performances will be conducted live in-person with an unlimited audience!
- All audience members are encouraged to wear a mask while indoors for the performances.

Weekly DROP-OFF / CHECK-IN:
Carpool drop off will begin at 5:45pm. Parents will drive into the carpool drop-off/pick-up lane on Oakdale Ave. and proceed NORTH until they reach the check-in gate. At the check-in station, there will be a KKMT staff member to check in your child each day. All parents and cast members will stay in their vehicle until the end of the check in procedure and will be directed by a staff member when they may exit.
- Remain in your car
- Do NOT park in the carpool lane in front of the school
- Do not make a U-turn in front of the school
- Do not honk, jay-walk, or buzz the gate
- Do not use the school's main entrance or buzz the gate
The parent of every cast member will be sent a unique virtual QR code via text and email. A specific QR code will be assigned to your child only. Please ONLY SHARE the QR code with people who are permitted to drop-off and pick-up your child. Feel free to print out your child’s QR code or save it on your phone for easier check-in process. All permitted drop-off/pick-up persons are REQUIRED to have and use this code every day. Once your child is properly checked in they may exit the car and proceed into the school campus. If a child needs assistance exiting the vehicle, the parent may get out of the car to assist the child.
Drop-Off will end at approximately 6:15pm, once all cast members are checked in. At this time the Drop-Off pathway gate will be closed and locked.
** No parents or anyone other than registered cast members and staff members will be allowed to enter the campus. Please DO NOT park your vehicle and walk your child to the check-in station. The carpool drop-off/pick-up has been established for the safety of all participants.
9pm PICK-UP:
Pick-up will begin at 9:00pm every day, and will end once all the children are picked up. A $10 late fee will be assessed for any child picked up past 9:30. Parents will again proceed into the carpool drop-off/pick-up pathway heading NORTH on Oakdale Avenue. When the parent is at the drop-off/pick-up station the parent will again show their child’s QR code for proper authorization of your child’s pick-up. After being cleared for pick-up, your child will be brought to your vehicle and you may proceed to exit. If a child needs assistance entering the vehicle, the parent may get out of the car to assist the child.
SUBSTITUTE PICK-UP PERSON: If a pick up person for your child is not on the cast member's Registration Form as a Parent or Emergency Contact, an email or text message must be sent to [email protected] to inform a Camp Director that a different person will be picking up for whichever day(s). The pick-up person is REQUIRED to have your child’s QR code to check-out your child.
LATE DROP-OFF / PICK-UP:
If your child is ever LATE TO REHEARSAL please text or email [email protected] and a staff member will help check in your child.
If your child needs to be PICKED-UP EARLY from rehearsal please text or email [email protected] and a staff member will help check out your child.
PLEASE NOTE: Your child’s QR code will still be required to check-in or check-out your child at this time.
CARPOOL SAFETY AND ETIQUETTE RULES:
- Please DRIVE SLOWLY and watch for children!
- Be on time! The drop off window begins at 5:45pm and ends at 6:15pm. Pick up begins at 9pm and is over at 9:30pm.
- Please be patient and courteous...everyone has someplace to be and the staff will do their best to expedite the process in a safe and timely manner!
- Please DO NOT honk your horn or get out of your vehicle (unless you need to assist your child)
- Please DO NOT park in the carpool lane, jay-walk, make a U-turn, or buzz the gate
- ALWAYS follow the direction of traffic (NORTH) and DO NOT take short cuts in or out of line!
- If possible, sit your child on the right side of the car to enter and exit the vehicle at the curb
- Be sure that your child has all of his/her belongings when exiting the car, including their lunch!
