COVID-19 Safety Protocols
Note: Protocols will be updated prior to camp
Kismet Kids Musical Theatre has established certain COVID-19 camp safety policies and procedures, which include:
Violation of the safety policies may cause your child's removal from the camp WITHOUT refund.
- Optional mask wearing by all participants and staff indoors (required for singing).
- Social distancing will be maintained by all participants and staff throughout the campus.
- Children will be separated into cohort groups based on age for all activities.
- A daily online Covid-19 screening questionnaire will be completed by each participant.
- Daily temperature checks will be conducted at check-in for all participants and staff.
- Performances will be conducted live in-person with a limited audience!
- In the event that live performances are not possible due to county restrictions, the alternative plan will be to video record the performances on the last day of each workshop.
Violation of the safety policies may cause your child's removal from the camp WITHOUT refund.
To reduce exposure and to ensure the safety of all campers and their families, KKMT has established extra precautions. As of 2/15/2022, the following procedures will be followed for Kismet Kids Musical Theatre Summer Camp 2022. Please check back for any updates that could be implemented before the start of camp.
BEFORE ENTERING CAMP:
EVERY MORNING, the parent of any current KKMT camper who wishes to enter camp, is REQUIRED to fill out a KKMT Covid-19 Daily Screening Form. This form will be found on our Kismet Kids website. Please accurately answer the questionnaire every day BEFORE camp and BEFORE you leave your home. After submission, a confirmation page will pop up and your form will be sent to our Camp Directors. If your child does not show any symptoms of COVID and has not been in close contact with any positive exposures, your child may come to camp that day. If your child does not meet the requirements, please stay safe by staying home and contact the Camp Director, Laura Grissom (grissomlaura@yahoo.com) or Zack Grissom (KismetKidsMT@gmail.com) to inform them of your situation.
MORNING DROP-OFF / CHECK-IN:
Morning drop off will begin at 8:30am every day. Parents will drive into the carpool drop-off/pick-up gate, off of Superior Street, and proceed their way up the path until they reach the check-in station. At the check-in station, there will be a KKMT staff member to check in your child each day. All parents and camp members will stay in their vehicle until the end of the check in procedure and will be directed by a staff member when they may exist.
(1) If the form has not been completed prior to arrival, a KKMT staff member will assist the parent on how to fill out the form.
(2) If a child needs assistance exiting the vehicle, the parent may get out of the car to assist the child.
** No parents or anyone other than registered campers and staff members will be allowed to enter the campus. Please DO NOT park your vehicle to walk your child to the check-in station. The carpool drop-off/pick-up has been established for the safety of all participants.
AFTERNOON PICK-UP:
Afternoon pick-up will begin at 3:00pm every day, and will end at 3:30pm. A $10 late fee will be assessed for any child picked up past 3:30. Parents will again proceed their vehicle into the carpool drop-off/pick-up pathway gate. When the parent is at the drop-off/pick-up station the parent will again show their child’s QR code for proper authorization of your child’s pick-up. After being cleared for pick-up for your child, your child will be brought to your vehicle and you may proceed to exit. (1)
(1) If a child needs assistance entering the vehicle, the parent may get out of the car to assist the child.
SUBSTITUTE PICK-UP PERSON: If a pick up person for your child is not on the campers’ Registration Form as a Parent or Emergency Contact, an email or text message must be sent to KismetKidsMT@gmail.com to inform a Camp Director that a different person will be picking up for whichever day(s). The pick-up person is REQUIRED to have your child’s QR code to check-out your child.
LATE DROP-OFF / PICK-UP:
If your child is ever LATE TO CAMP please text or email KismetKidsMT@gmail.com and a staff member will help check in your child.
If your child needs to be PICKED-UP EARLY from camp please text or email KismetKidsMT@gmail.com and a staff member will help check out your child.
PLEASE NOTE: Your child’s QR code will still be required to check-in or check-out your child at this time.

- Check in will begin with a KKMT staff member asking the parent if they completed the KKMT Covid-19 Daily Screening Form for the day. The staff member will have a log of all submitted screening forms and they will confirm that the form has been completed. (1)
- After confirmation that the camper screening form has been turned in, a temperature check of the camp member with take place. If their temperature is not higher than 100 degrees, the camp member will be cleared of the COVID-19 symptoms check.
- The parent will then check in their child with the staff member. The parent of every camp member will be sent a unique virtual QR code via text and email. A specific QR code will be assigned to your child only. Please ONLY SHARE the QR code with people who are permitted to drop-off and pick-up your child. Feel free to print out your child’s QR code or save it on your phone for easier check-in process. All permitted drop-off/pick-up persons are REQUIRED to have and use this code every day. Once your child is properly checked in and has cleared all COVID-19 symptoms checks they may exit the car and proceed into camp. (2)
- Morning Drop-Off will end at approximately 9:00am, once all campers are checked in. At this time the Drop-Off pathway gate will close.

CARPOOL SAFETY AND ETIQUETTE RULES:
- Please DRIVE SLOWLY and watch for children!
- Be on time! The morning drop off window is between 8:30am - 9am daily. Pick up begins at 3pm and is over at 3:30pm.
- Please be patient and courteous...everyone has someplace to be and the staff will do their best to expedite the process in a safe and timely manner!
- Please DO NOT honk your horn or get out of your vehicle (unless you need to assist your child)
- ALWAYS follow the direction of traffic and DO NOT take short cuts in line!
- If possible, sit your child on the right side of the car to enter and exit the vehicle at the curb
- Be sure that your child has all of his/her belongings when exiting the car, including their lunch!
