Kismet Kids Volunteer & Staff Opportunities
Are you interested in being a part of our KKMT team? We are now accepting applications from students, who are at least 15 years old, to be a part of our Summer Camp Volunteer Team! Kismet Kids will be offering a limited number of summer volunteer job opportunities to students who wish to assist in KKMT productions.
What opportunities are available?
KKMT has a limited number of summer positions available. Our staff positions include: Dance Captain, Associate, Junior Counselor/Senior Counselor (Production Assistant), and Summer Interns. Please Note: Most KKMT staff openings are volunteers only. KKMT will accept students only if needed and approved. Volunteer positions can lead to a paid staff position in the future!
Dance Captain
Dance Captains work closely with our Choreographers, to ensure that the cast members know their dance numbers. They demonstrate and assist during rehearsals, in order to maintain the artistic vision of the director. Dance Captains may be members of the cast, and participate in the productions. Dance experience required.
Associate
Our associate program is a unique opportunity for current KKMT students to receive additional responsibilities, allowing them to work on their leadership and problem-solving skills. KKMT Associates may be asked to assist production assistants and directors, lead break out groups for rehearsals, or help supervise younger students. Throughout the year, full scholarships may be awarded to associate volunteers to participate in future KKMT productions.
Junior and Senior Counselor (Production Assistant)
Our Junior and Senior Staff have the most responsibility and work directly under our Staff Director. All counselors are responsible for all KKMT students at all times, ensuring that they are supervised, engaged in camp activities, and that they have a wonderful experience. Responsibilities include working with younger students to learn their lines, leading theatre games and other activities such as arts and crafts, playground supervision during lunch and free time, and providing a safe and motivational environment for all participants. Senior Counselors may be paid positions, depending on age/experience and staffing needs.
We encourage any student (who is at least 15 years old) to apply below. Our Executive Director and Staff Director will review all applications. If approved and accepted to our associate volunteer program, an email will be sent with further information.
Summer Intern
College students are encouraged to apply for a Summer Intern position. We are specifically interested in Theatre, Music, Dance, and Early Childhood Development majors! Summer Interns may be paid positions, depending on experience and staffing needs.
Resumes are accepted for Music Directors, Choreographers, and Summer Interns.
