Extra! Extra! Read all about it! Based on the real-life Newsboys Strike of 1899, Newsies tells the story of Jack Kelly, a rebellious newsboy who dreams of a life as an artist away from the big city. After publishing giant Joseph Pulitzer raises newspaper prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack and his fellow newsies take action. This is a tale of courage, friendship, and standing up for what’s right. With unforgettable songs and lively dance numbers, Newsies will have you cheering for the underdogs and will inspire you to “Seize the Day.”
